Why do I need to pay for my tutorial session in advance?
The payment is to guarantee a time slot for your session. This also helps decrease the number of cancellations.
How should I prepare for my first Lesson?
The best way to prepare for the first lesson is to email the course syllabus that is specific to your needs at [email protected] before the tutoring begins. In addition, provide the name of the book that your school is using. Also, answer the pre questionnaire.
What if I cannot afford a 3-hour session?
If you are unable to afford the 3-hour session, then call the office and we will try to work out some sort of payment plan. Ideally, we would like for you to keep the same mystery nurse instructor for all private tutorials.
Can I receive tutoring over the phone rather than a video chat or in person?
Although telephone conferences are not recommended, this can be incorporated in the session. Please remember that we try to cater to your learning style and use many techniques to help you retain the material. If you are just listening over the phone…you might as well be in class listening to the instructor with those awful PowerPoint slides.
What if I have to cancel a session? Will I get my money back?
Yes, you will receive a full refund as long as the cancellation is within the 24 hour period.
Can I record the video meetings so that I can look at them later?
This will be up to each individual instructor. Most of the Professors, do not like to be recorded in an effort to preserve their teaching styles. You are welcome to write everything down and the instructor will often email you an assignment to help you retain the information that you learned.
Do any of the instructors teach Pediatrics or OB/GYN?
Those courses are considered specialty courses and although we have instructors that are able to teach them, you must call to make those tutorial sessions as they are limited.
Are there any assignments or paperwork that students can receive after a tutoring session?
Most times, a summary page will be emailed to the student of what topics were discussed. This includes some assignments, as each tutorial is individualized.
How is the Next /Gen curriculum organized?
These courses are considered prep classes and will be announced on the website. Usually, it entails 4 weeks of information distributed one day a week for 6 to 8 hours.
What happens if I fail a course?
Students who fail a course will need to call to make an appointment for assistance in the appeal process as well as all other options that are open to them at that time.
